Know which rolls are unmarked.
Will tutors actually mark the roll, and will I know when they have not?
Tutors mark the roll from a phone. Absences join a follow-up list.

Call with everything ready
The guardian's phone and a message to copy sit on each absence.
Book a make-up or close it
Note how the call went, then book a make-up or close the absence.
Questions about attendance
Does Late count as attended?
Yes, and so does a missed class caught up in a make-up. Unmarked students are left out of the attendance rate.
When is a roll overdue?
Once the class has started and a student on it is still unmarked.
Are tutors reminded to mark the roll?
Their daily summary in the app lists unmarked classes. Emailing it is a setting on the Automations page.
Are families told when a student is absent?
Only if you switch on the absence notice email, which starts off. Otherwise your team sends the ready message themselves.
Who works the follow-up list?
Managers and owners, from the Families area.
What if a class did not run?
A manager marks it as not run and proposes a make-up time. Make-ups are on the Timetable page.
